A prospective cohort study demonstrating how Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols significantly reduce hospital length of stay for patients undergoing colorectal surgery in rural settings. The study matched ERAS patients with control groups to assess outcomes including pre-operative preparation, post-operative mobility, and patient adherence to recovery protocols.
Dr. Roldan is deeply committed to improving healthcare and education in his native Guatemala through the Optimum Services Organization (OSO).
For over a decade, Dr. Roldan and his colleague Juan Carlos Vasquez have worked to bring essential services to the poorest regions of Guatemala. Their mission is to provide opportunities for self-sustainability through healthcare and education.
